Digital wellbeing refers to maintaining a healthy balance between the use of digital technologies and personal wellbeing.  It refers to mindful usage of digital devices and focuses on managing screen time and adopting healthy digital device usage habits, to help protect mental, physical, social and psychological health.

For teachers, digital wellbeing is crucial as it helps them manage the extensive use of digital tools for teaching, grading, and communication without succumbing to burnout. It also enables them to model balanced technology habits for their students, integrate digital literacy into their lessons, and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
